What To Expect

Washington Square Park

Washington Square Park is legendary. You’ve seen it in a ton of films, it’s the unofficial campus of NYU students and you’ll see some of the coolest people in the city here. Feed pigeons. Hear musicians and watch street performers. You never know what to expect. Oh except for the mighty arch which is, of course, renowned.

The Stonewall Inn

The Stonewall Inn is such a huge historical site - literally and figuratively. We pass by the prideful institution as well as its new statue which was installed to commemorate it’s 50th anniversary.

What a great way to spend an afternoon. Dante was an excellent guide - providing interesting facts about the neighborhood and food and always keeping it light and enjoyable. Before the tour I wondered if the food would be a little basic - we’ve all had pizza and bagels before. But it was such a welcome surprise that the foods he had selected for the tour were a little different, interesting, and damn delicious. Come hungry for sure. Also pro tip: don’t have dinner plans right afterwards like we did 😅.

Amazing tour! Dante is friendly, Knowledgeable and funny! He guides you round 7 food stops as well as some sites in between - and there’s so much food!! This was my first time in NYC and this was a great way to see the sites and find your way about! Group was 12 (which he limits the groups to) and it was great for a solo traveller to meet some like-minded foodies! At the end of the tour Dante even made sure I knew which subway line I needed to get to my hotel! An absolute MUST for an NYC trip!
