Alaska Excursions
Grizzly Falls Ziplining Expedition in Skagway, Alaska Reserve Your Seats Fast, fun, and exhilarating, this approximately 4-hour adventure is sure to excite nature lovers and thrill seekers alike. Get a running start on solid ground and take flight into the treetops of the Alaskan rainforest. It all begins at your cruise dock where you meet your guide. From there, enjoy an entertaining and historic tour through downtown Skagway then drive along nine miles of stunning coastline. When you arrive at our base in Dyea, you will transfer into our customized Unimog—an all-wheel drive vehicle necessary for getting up our rugged mountain road. During your rugged ride up the mountain, look out at the impressive rainforest and glacially fed waterfalls. Get psyched—you’re about to fly over this wild landscape! At the top of the mountain, you will suit up in gear that meets the highest standards of safety while your highly trained guide tells you what to expect and how to safely navigate the course. You will then be led to the take- off zone, where you’ll clip in and fly away! You’ll soar through our exhilarating course of ziplines, the longest measuring 750ft—that’s longer than 2 football fields combined! But this is more than just any zip course, our lines will bring you directly above glacially-fed waterfalls, so close you can feel the mist as you zoom by! For the more cautious adventurers, rest assured that you can always control your own speed with a brake system. But we double dog dare you to let go and zoom up to 45 miles per hour! Of course, that’s a little too fast to take those perfect pictures of the Alaskan wilderness. That’s why we decided that a hardcore Unimog and breathtaking zip course over waterfalls just isn’t quite enough. So, we added four state-of-the-art suspension bridges. From these bridges, you’ll be able to capture stunning photos of you and your loved ones in the heart of Alaska’s wild beauty. After completing the course, pat yourself on the back, say goodbye to your guides, and enjoy your last ride in the Unimog to your bus at the bottom of the mountain. Take advantage of the scenic drive back to Skagway to look over your pictures and joke about who was the bravest zipliner. This is bound to be an “E.X.C.U.R.S.I.O.N of a lifetime”, one you will surely remember for years to come!

We booked our excursion with Grizzly Falls on our own and not from our cruise ship. What a great group! We LOVED the whole operation and everything went smoothly and we had a ton of fun. Having been a rock climber, I know harness and line safety, and these guys know their stuff and everyone is ALWAYS clipped in... but there is still room for fun. Once you know you're safe, then you can be free to hang upside down, go crazy, and really ENJOY the lines, which we did. The entire team, from our driver (Eric?) who gave us a TON of great info about living in remote Alaska (he was one of THE BEST driver/tour guides I've ever had), to Christian and Caleb keeping us all loving the lines, to whomever runs the office, were top notch! One note for people with little kids barely making the age/weight cutoff... our youngest had to do one line tandem with Christian because they were worried about him being too light. It turned out to be one of his BEST RUNS! We also had someone who was a bit apprehensive with the "trust fall" line... and totally no big deal to Caleb. He talked to her, kept her calm, and she had a great run on the line face-forward. These guys want everyone to have a good time. And here's where a company can shine... I booked the wrong day for our trip (oops!). Somehow, I had the following day for us arriving in port than the day we did. After nobody was at the ship to get us 10 minutes into our scheduled time, we called the office. They were EXCELLENT! It was my bad, but they had us on a van and catching up with the rest of the group in NO TIME! Seriously! Dealing with problems is the hallmark of excellence and these guys pulled out a major win.

I would HIGHLY recommend this zip lining tour especially if you're lucky enough to get Blake & Max as your tour guides. I have zip lined multiple times in the past but this experience stood out. It was overall just so much more fun because of the marvelous guides we had along with the small group we were put in. Outside of Blake & Max's entertaining commentary between lines, the setting along each ride was beautiful, I felt incredibly safe, and was encouraged along the way to try new things while zip lining (including doing a front flip off a platform which I comfortably completed with their direction and help). My niece (12 year old) and I most definitely suggest this tour, you WILL have an incredible time!

This is a must do when visiting Skagway via cruise ship! It was easy to meet the transport to the zipline, there were easy to see representatives in green just as we exited the ship. Our driver, Austin, narrated our drive and told us about points of interest along the way. When we arrived our zipline guides, Chris & Sophia, were amazing and clearly everyone there loved their job. It wasn’t a job so much as a day filled with fun adventures with your best buds. The entire time, I just wanted to be a part of this fun loving, adrenaline junkie crowd! They taught us tricks to do at each line, and it was over too soon! We only did the zipline, but the husky dogs were there and I wish we could have stayed to play with them!
