My father, brother and I finally had our first surfing lesson. Our property manager recommended Island Style Adventures and we had an amazing time. We were part of a group lesson but the two instructors gave us plenty of individual time. Will definitely return again.

The staff were disorganized. My kids had few chances at the surf because there were too many people to juggle. It was definitely not worth $190 for my 2 kids to literally have 8 chances to catch a wave in 90 minutes.

Hi there! Please feel free to contact us directly at (808)8705735. We'd appreciate hearing more about your experience. I'm also curious why you would have paid $190 for two surfers as that does not fit any of our services or price structures. We apologize you feel your service was sub par. Although we can't guarantee the number of waves you'll catch while you're in the water for one hour, our instructors are lifetime surfers themselves and will get you on ever "catchable" wave possible. We sure hope to hear from you. Mahalo!

Our 11 year old son wanted to give surfing a try and after 2 hours of group lessons was surfing pretty well and had a blast. As others have commented the surf area is a bit offshore and a crowded because it is one of the few areas where the waves are adequate for surfing in this area. So you will want to be decent shape because you will need to swim out to the wave area. Also you do need to be able to stand up from a squat position to truly surf. If you are a bowl of jello from gaming too much don't do this. You will actually have to use your legs instead of your fingers pounding on a screen and you will need to keep your head up instead of in a crane position. You might even need to listen to the instructor and talk to people instead of texting. I know it's a lot to ask for, but you can do it!
