I reserved group surf lesson for my two daughters (13 and 16 years old) in August, 8:00 am session. It was early so only my two daughters booked that session, and ended up with a semi-private session with instructor Lucas. He was great and it only took 15 minutes for my two girls to succeed in standing up and surf! My two girls love the experience and will definitely surf again thanks to Lucas. Other staff in the Surf Shack team were friendly as well. The surfing photos taken by their partner The Sun Kissed Lens are expensive though, but we ended up buying them because they are fantastic pictures of kids' first time in surfing!

Hi to all, Our 3 weeks in Maui just ended ☹️ But, I just wanted to thank Surf Shack team (and especially Dan!) for a great vacation. Lessons (for all of us, 5) were great. The instructor supported us and cheered when needed.... 👍. Dan, always welcomed us with a great smile and gave us tips for where and when to surf.... 🏄‍♂️Thank you Dan. I highly recommend. Also, nobody could beat Surf Shack prices (rentals) ....!

My 15 year old son was scheduled for an 8:00 a.m. group lesson and ended up with a private session with instructor Lucas! Lucas was an awesome instructor! My son had a blast and even went out after his lesson to surf on his own. The photographer captured some great close-up action shots so we have something for the holiday card this year. They even gave us a map with some suggestions for places to check out and see during our stay. Thanks Surf Shack Maui! Highly recommend.
