This guided walk was 100% the highlight of our trip to Monterey. Monica ,the guide, gives so much insight to the hike, and knows the best areas to get stunning views. We were lucky to see 3 otters with their pups! We also saw sea lions. Monica takes her scope and you can take a closer look at wildlife. Her firsthand knowledge of the history of Point Lobos enriches this experience. The hike in itself isn’t hard, it takes about 2.5 hours at a slow pace. Do not hesitate, walking Point Lobos with Monica as a guide is definitely the best way to see the best of Point Lobos.

It was such fun to take you and your son's to Point Lobos. I loved how Alex was so interested in the small critters and birds as well. Thank you for sharing the hike with me.

Monica was absolutely wonderful! First of all, we lived in Switzerland for a long time and she is Swiss so that connection was special. Along the way, we learned that she married into the family that used to own all of the Pt Lobos land so we got an intimate history lesson as well. Highly recommend!

It was special to have you and your family on tour, it felt like spending time with old friends. The story of Point Lobos is unique and I love to share it with everyone. Protecting what we value and encouraging future generations to do the same. The very best to your amazing family.
