We had only two days in NOLA and wasted one of them on this horrible tour. The boat was noisy and spewed fumes. We didn't see much wild life. I suspect the animals were scared off by the noisy boats and all the noxious fumes. Maybe they went looking for a more peaceful place to live in the Bayou. I hope there are some protected parts left untouched by the tourist trade. A live albino alligator was on display in the reception area . This animal spends his life in what amounts to solitary confinement. Even in a zoo some attempt is made to provide an animal with some company of his own kind. This one was totally alone. Also it had none of its natural environment. There was absolutely nothing in this pool except water. The poor thing just laid there, not moving at all. My heart broke knowing it would have to live out the rest of its life in this miserable situation. I want to mention that on the other day we were in town we went on a tour of the garden district (Tours by Steven). We had the opposite experience. Fantastic knowledgeable guide, an actual historian with a big personality who taught us in a fun way about the place we were exploring. This was in stark contrast to the bayou tour and the guide we had. I don't know if there are companies that offer better Bayou tours but my advice is to try to find another one.

It was okay. Cold and windy. Didn’t see no wildlife but I guess this will happen on their first tour of the day.

My feelings are two-fold here. Initially, the company was very pleasant and accomodating for arranging our needs. Unfortunately the temperature dropped over 20 degrees overnight, making a boat tour seem less than practical. I reached out to the company to let them know we would not attend. I was told no refunds were issued (completely understandable) but then later that same day received a call from a very rude employee (although that took me a minute to figure that out as they didn't identify themselves or the company) who just started angrily yelling at me through the phone and repeatedly asking if "we were still coming or no?" I would like to try this tour again next time I am in NOLA area, but I hope that employee isn't representative of the company as a whole.
