Eagle Lake Acadia National Park
Once we pass the Duck Brook Bridge, our tour operator usually takes a break at a beaver pond where we can observe a large community of the rodents actively working on their house and dam. After that, we continue our journey towards Eagle Lake, where we head down the west side of the lake. The distance between Duck Brook bridge and the south end of Eagle Lake is 4 miles.
3
Jordan Pond
After passing Eagle Lake, you will soon reach the west side of Jordan Pond, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Penobscot and Pemetic mountains. During the tour, you will stop to see the West Branch Jordan Stream Bridge, Cliffside Bridge and the Amphitheater Bridge. At the southern end of the pond, you will have a chance to take a 20-minute break at Jordan Pond House or, if you prefer, use the time to ride on a short loop down to the Cobblestone Bridge. This section of the ride covers a distance of 6 miles.
4
Bubble Pond
After leaving Jordan Pond House, you will need to ride an ebike for 5 miles on the Carriage Roads until you reach the north end of Bubble Pond. This was a great way to see the carriage roads of Acadia NP. Not having been on a bike in years, I was a bit nervous about keeping up on a 20 mile ride. I had nothing to worry about, the instruction on the e-bike and the pace of the tour was perfect. The peddle assist of the bike made the hills easy to conquer while still providing plenty of exercise. Our tour guide, Marty, stopped often to share historical information and answer questions. She was great at adjusting the pace of the tour to how much/little time we wanted for breaks & picture stops. The age range of the 8 participants was mid 40’s to mid 70’s. This tour took bike riding ability out of the equation for all of us to enjoy the park.

First time in Acadia. Wanted to get the most out of park so I decided to do a Guided Tour and see the Best of Acadia and to Not miss anything. We met and checked in the parking lot at 0900. They showed us how to use E-bike ( it was our first time). It super EZ once you get hang of it. We then met our fantastic Guide, Amy. We are so glad we did guided tour with Amy. She was an awesome guide. Knowledgeable, fun, kind, happy, and knew just what our small group of 5 needed at all times. We had a nice group of 5. Thank you Amy for making our day such a pleasure. It did also help that we had the most perfect weather. Sunny, 68 degrees. The carriage roads are really nice. Rockefellar knew what he was doing when he had those roads built back in the early 1900s. The paths are mostly EZ To navigate with E-bike. I do bicycle at home so I am used to bicycling. This tour was Worth the money.

We are so glad we did this e-bike guided tour! The views were absolutely amazing and Amy pointed out so much that we would have missed otherwise! So grateful we didn’t try to do this without a guide…wouldn’t have been nearly as enjoyable!
