What a amazing experience. Willow’s knowledge, enthusiasm and communications skills made this an incredible experience. If you are interested in foraging mushrooms, walking in forests( no people or crowds), and learning a lot, sign up for this adventure!

Willow knows her way around the forest! In our foray on Mt Desert Island we found and identified a ton of mushrooms and got to take home the ones that were edible. Willow showed us what to look for and in no time we started seeing fungi literally pop right at us. We learned a lot and would not hesitate to go on another mushroom hunt with her!

We had a most wonderful experience spending time in the woods of Maine foraging for wild mushrooms with our delightful and most knowledgeable guide, Willow. It was so exciting to seek out and identify all of the various fungi that chose to pop up and grace us with their presence. Afterwards, we chose the upgraded package which included a lesson on how to clean, prepare and cook the edible mushrooms we foraged. Lastly, we enjoyed a delicious prepared meal of wild rice with mushrooms including porcini, baby chanterelles and bears head tooth- all choice edibles we found in the wild woods of Maine! I highly, highly recommend hiring Willow for this experience if you are interested in learning more about edible and non-edible mushrooms and where to forage for them, as well as how to clean and prepare them for consumption. Well worth it!
