Enjoy a close, personal encounter with the West Indian Manatee as you snorkel with them under the guidance of a U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captain. Our small group (no more than six guests) tours are conducted daily in the beautiful Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge. Get up close and personal with these amazing mammals and learn about the ecosystem and their habitat.

Unlike many tours, these Captains will actually swim with you and your group to ensure that you have a memorable experience. While in the water, your captain/tour guide will take high-definition photos and videos of you and your group which you will be able to view and purchase at the end of your trip.

Your price includes all snorkeling equipment (mask, snorkel, wetsuit) and complimentary coffee or hot cocoa.

What a great Experience! Prior to our trip Captain Ron ensured we were properly educated on interactions and contact with the manatees and with Ricky as our snorkel guide, we observed and interacted with a young female and her calf and 4 other manatees. One manatee in particular was extremely friendly and engaged us in a high level of contact. It was a perfect day with these gentle giants of the gulf. Thanks for the photos and memories Captain Ron & Ricky!

Captain Ron and Ricky run small group tours, other tour boats that came into the area had TONS of people on them. It was hard to see the manatees with that many people in the water and it made me a bit anxious. THANKFULLY Capt Ron knows what he is doing and had us meet him at the dock at 6:30am. We arrived at 6:20am, and we were in the water almost a good 30 minutes alone before other tour groups hit the area. We were able to swim with two baby manatees, and we heard the Momma talking to them, but she never swam over to investigate us. The babies were very curious and came right up to us multiple times. TIP: Do the early tour and arrive early and ready to go! We had almost a full hour at Jurassic Springs observing the babies. We then got back in the boat. Fresh towels, hot chocolate, and hot coffee awaited us. We headed over to Three Sisters and once again due to the early nature of the day had the whole place to ourselves for some snorkeling time. It was stunning! We saw lots of fish and crabs in the area. Ricky was very helpful in pointing out wildlife that I might not have seen otherwise. Great guides, Great service, Great price.

Despite Hurricane Irma we were able to have an amazing time with Gulf Coast Expeditions. Everyone was really friendly, they kept us informed all the way through on the impact caused by the hurricane, were able to re-arrange without any additional fee and treated us to additional time as well. Great customer service and a wonderful experience. It was amazing to hear the manatees crunching on the grass whilst at the surface. I was also impressed that we were given a full briefing beforehand about behaviour in the proximity of the manatees in order to ensure we observed without causing problems.
