Any tour is only as good as the guide and we certainly struck gold with Alan. He was personal, witty, and informative. Not only was he well versed on the traditional Boston landmarks, but he was equally informative about any Boston-related question that you could throw his way. I would highly recommend this tour for the Boston newbies and for anyone who wants to be able to go in greater depth about Boston geography, politics, archeology, and history.

We took a walking tour of downtown Boston this weekend with Alan. He reminds me slightly of Coach from Cheers with his subtle Boston accent, great sense of humor and extensive knowledge of the city and its history. I really recommend this tour if you would like to learn about the history and architecture of Boston. Alan is a true gem and someone you want to go have a Sam Adams with at a local Boston pub!

Our guide Alan was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. He kept our family (including two teenagers) entertained for the entire tour. Fun tour!
