The Beginner and Moderate hike is for all ages
We are limited in guide availability this year due to Covid-19. Please understand if your reservation is not accepted because of this restriction.

Face masks required for travellers in public areas

Social distancing enforced throughout experience
Our guides will be 6 ft from you and our group will stay 6 ft from other people on the trails. Masks are required for each person when 6 ft distancing isn't possible, when you first meet with your guide, during interpretation, rest stops, view points, & when departing after the tour.

My fiancé and I booked the intermediate hike for our first trip to Yosemite. Our tour guide was Jay and he was fantastic. He kept an excellent pace and gave us a great rundown of the history of Yosemite while showing us the greatest views we have ever seen in our lives. The hike was a perfect length and the views were second to none. Definitely coming back for a multiple hikes with YExplore.. and requesting Jay as our guide of course!

We only had a single full day on our big California Roadtrip, and decided it would probably best to maximise our day using a tour guide to have a full experience. Having looked around quite extensively, we decided to use this team and it proved to an absolutely wonderful decision. From the booking process, to help in selecting the right day and trip for us, it went superbly. We met John, our guide as planned, on time in the right location, and we had just the most amazing day. John was funny, but also very engaging and sociable, and very informative and well educated in the details, the things you couldnt hope to uncover yourself, if your researched for weeks before you went. The walk was strenuous (we chose that), but covered at a really suitable pace for us all, and at the end of 6 full hours, we had just the best day. One of the very best days of trip, and we've had some superb days already. Thank you all, for organising such a great day for us, we couldn't recommend you guys enough. It was perfect. Thank you. Only possible hint of improvement? (And its such an incredibly minor a thing) . Perhaps you could refine your recommended clothing suggestions to cover different types of weather, for different times of the year, as we over prepared for our day, and never needed a waterproof jacket with us. It's a small suggestion, and it might help your guests a little with their indecision on what clothing to actually bring. (Hot summer days, vs cold, vs Rainy, etc, etc).

From initial contact with Catherine , all communication as well as the hike was 1st class. Catherine and her team catered to all our requests , being somewhat novices hikers we wanted to taste a real Yosemite experience. We did a 8 mile trek with our (personal guide) Jay. Personal, as we were the only ones booked on the day. Jay’s knowledge of the park along with his anecdotes (especially his stories on past hikes) kept us amused and entertained for the entire hike. We are relatively fit for our age and found the intermediate hike - just right in length, altitude and climbs. There were many highlights within the 5-1/2 hours as the scenery and landscape changed around each corner.
