The sunrise ride is THE BEST thing to do on Maui! Self guided tour was great. Top notch bikes, excellent rain gear, safest helmets, awesome instructions, phenomenal people! Even average bike riders will have no problem. Only issue I had was, didn't have enough cash to tip them sufficiently for the great service! Corey, Billy and Shilo such great guides. Views spectacular! Info and guidance amazing, I learned so much about Maui and Haleakala! Can't say enough about this, everything was great. They pick you up wherever you are on Maui. At first I was worried about getting up for 1:30am shuttle, but it was WELL WORTH IT! (even for me who holds my sleep sacred) Mahalo to the entire Maui Bike team. You all rock! Keep on doing what you're doing. Don't just see the volcano, BIKE IT!

We highly recommend Bike Maui to anyone looking for an awesome adventure and unforgettable excursion. The bikes were in great condition, safety was priority and we arrived to the top of the mountain with the perfect amount of time to find a great view of the sunrise. We had such an incredible experience with our tour guide Marlin! He was so knowledgeable, funny and genuinely cared about each individual on the tour! On our way up the mountain he told us stories and facts about the Hawaiian history and about things we passed and also shared recommendations for interesting places to stop and explore on our ride down. Even though we were provided with a map to get back to the bike shop from the top of the mountain we didn’t have to reference it because Marlin told us clever ways to remember each landmark along our way. My husband and I both said that we couldn’t decide what we enjoyed more, the bike ride down the mountain or the ride up with Marlin!! Mahalo Marlin!

The early morning wake up call was tough but definitely worth it. It is best to do this on your first few days of your trip from the mainland so you’re still on your own time zone. The experience was great and pictures were stunning. Marlin & Derrick, the tour guides, were the best with lots of extra add-one.
