If you have to chose between bike and non bike I would definitely go for a biking tour. It’s pretty safe, so much fun going down the hill plus stoping for the best doughnuts I have ever tasted. Also, the guide is super funny, have the best stories to share and knows the best spots to take pictures. Sunrise experience is another story, I couldn’t believe my eyes and even shed a tear) Its cold, so don’t neglect that extra closing the company is offering prior to hitting the road. Take it all and decide later if you want to wear it.

Amazing tour! Eddie Buddy made the experience with all his Hawaiian knowledge and photography skills! Sunset is a must see and the bike down the mountain was incredible! Highly recommend this tour

A must do in Maui. Combines the amazing experience of the Haleakala sunrise with biking downhill for 23 miles. It's pretty competitive to get a sunrise permit as it is so it makes more sense to pay the money. Marlon was a great tour guide with a lot of humor. He provided tons of information on the history of Hawaii during the long drive up the mountain. The price is steep, but worth it. The road gets a little busy at the end and we had the pleasure of a middle finger from one of the locals just for biking in the road. The company has someone stationed to talk safety just before some of the more congested areas.
