5/5 experience. I had knee surgery 4 months ago and this ride was very doable. Not a ton of pedaling because you’re going downhill most of the time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is a MUST DO activity in Maui. My husband and I did it on our honeymoon, and it was hands-down the best experience we had during the entire trip (and we visited the Big Island, Maui, AND Kauai!). If you do the sunrise tour and self-guided bike ride and you don't have fun, you are crazy. Even though we had to wake up at 1:30 AM from our hotel, we were so full of adrenaline with the most beautiful sunrise and the thrilling bike ride. The tour guide was awesome and full of punny jokes to keep us entertained at 3AM heading up the mountain. But he was also very informational and taught us a lot of history. They prepared us well for the bike ride and sent us on our way. We stopped at Kula Lodge Restaurant halfway down for breakfast, which had a great view and great food also. We will talk about this tour for the rest of our lives. Cannot recommend this higher!

Marlon was our great tour guide, making it a fun trip and informative as well. His storytelling was hilarious and I am most likely to remember all the tidbits he shared of Haleakala than by reading them from a pamphlet. Loved the singing greeting the sunrise from the drivers. 💝💕
