The trip was well organized. The staff was super friendly. They provided windbreaker and backpacks for the trip, which was very helpful. We did the self guided tour, which was sufficient (and better in my opinion since you can go on your own pace).

The guides were very safety conscious and kept us on a good schedule for the entire event. We were never rushed and had plenty of time to take in all the sights we desired. Every guide was very knowledgeable of the history, lore and details of Haleakala Crater and the Hawaiian Islands in general. The bike ride down the crater was fun, safe and easy to navigate on our own. Even then, the guides kept an eye on us and provided assistance, if needed. Highly recommend!

What an incredible experience! I was initially hesitant to book this for my husband and I due to the price, but WOW, I'm so glad we did. Our tour guide, Marlon, was incredible! I've taken several tours all over the world, and he was the best! He kept us engaged, laughing, and comfortable while we drove up the volcano in the dark. He ensured everyone was comfortable on our bikes before letting us loose. He had a story for every single part of the journey, and I came away knowing so much more about Maui and Hawaiian culture. They also provided us with book bags to pack whatever we wanted, rain jackets, and water proof pants. Be sure to bring cash so you can give them the tip they deserve! Don't try the Haleakala tour on your own, definitely book this tour!
