Overview

The Blue Heron Fleet was established in 1955 by Capt. Harry Nagel. The fleet has been family owned and operated with the third generation currently at the helm. Blue Heron offers excellent year round fishing at a great price.

The vessels are the largest and most comfortable in the area. Vessels are custom built aluminum drift fishers that meet and exceed the United States Coast Guard regulations. The cabins offer cushioned seating, settees for catering, and clean men’s and ladies restrooms.

Both our locations are minutes from prime fishing grounds 20-40 minutes away depending on which hot spot is producing fish catches.

The fare includes rod, reel, bait, tackle, and fishing license. The crews have years of experience ensuring your families safety and enjoyment. Two half day excursion departing daily. No reservations necessary. Blue Heron specializes in private charters for family, business, and corporate events with the options of fishing or cruising.

I came down to Singer Island myself. Booked a half day trip with Blue Heron Fishing. The best thing I could have done. Booking online was easy from Colorado. Excellent phone service from Don when I had questions. Easy to locate. Excellent care and attention from the staff members who were pretty funny. Knowing nothing they were great at explaining. I caught a nice Bonita fish too! The other guests were fun too. All was good. Oh, and what a fun boat trip. This will be on my things to do every trip I make once or twice a year. First of all, great, high energy, hard working professional crew. This was the first time in my adult life that I’ve had an opportunity to do this and am so glad I came here! The high point of the day was catching a huge black fin tuna (35 - 40 lbs.) I had a crew member working with me as I reeled him in. Had a real thrill at the end as shark took about a third of my catch (my “tax” for catching a trophy fish.) This was the experience of a lifetime and am now planning my next fishing trip with this crew on a future visit. Can’t recommend enough!!
