Overview

The Blue Heron Fleet was established in 1955 by Capt. Harry Nagel. The fleet has been family owned and operated with the third generation currently at the helm. Blue Heron offers excellent year round fishing at a great price.

The vessels are the largest and most comfortable in the area. Vessels are custom built aluminum drift fishers that meet and exceed the United States Coast Guard regulations. The cabins offer cushioned seating, settees for catering, and clean men’s and ladies restrooms.

Both our locations are minutes from prime fishing grounds 20-40 minutes away depending on which hot spot is producing fish catches.

The fare includes rod, reel, bait, tackle, and fishing license. The crews have years of experience ensuring your families safety and enjoyment. Two half day excursion departing daily. No reservations necessary. Blue Heron specializes in private charters for family, business, and corporate events with the options of fishing or cruising.

This was a great experience! The crew was excellent and always helpful and on top of all details. We had a great group on the boat, and a variety of fish was caught, including a Lemon Shark that was brought to the surface, then let go. Whether you are a new or experienced fishing person, this is a great trip to take!

I have used their services several times in the past. I would consider myself by capable fisherman. I wanted to do a quick half-day trip before I jumped on a plane. They have a first come first serve rule ( meaning the first person get the best spot) the rear of the boat because there are less likely to get tangled up on. I was the first person to arrive at the dock. But I was the last to get on to buy additional ticket. They place me directly in the center of all the other lines and poles. I pulled in several fish That trip. I kept being harassed by the crew members when I was winding up a fish. I do admit it was difficult to weave up and down through all the lines that was out when I had a fish on. Other fishermen had difficulties as well, but I was singled out. I attempted to go to the rear of the boat only to get harassed to go back where I came from by crew members. I did catch fish and it got tangled with another Fishmans line that has a fish on and they gave it no thought and gave him the better fish. The rear of the boat was where all the fish get caught anywhere else your line at is just getting cut half the time.
