Overview

The Blue Heron Fleet was established in 1955 by Capt. Harry Nagel. The fleet has been family owned and operated with the third generation currently at the helm. Blue Heron offers excellent year round fishing at a great price.

The vessels are the largest and most comfortable in the area. Vessels are custom built aluminum drift fishers that meet and exceed the United States Coast Guard regulations. The cabins offer cushioned seating, settees for catering, and clean men’s and ladies restrooms.

Both our locations are minutes from prime fishing grounds 20-40 minutes away depending on which hot spot is producing fish catches.

The fare includes rod, reel, bait, tackle, and fishing license. The crews have years of experience ensuring your families safety and enjoyment. Two half day excursion departing daily. No reservations necessary. Blue Heron specializes in private charters for family, business, and corporate events with the options of fishing or cruising.

We had a short smooth ride north to the first fishing spot. The mates were fantastic and kept everyone happy. Took home a 7 fish mix of Yellowtail and Red Snapper. Lost two nice fish to a hungry 7 foot Bull Shark that circled the boat for awhile. Be sure to show your appreciation for the hard working mates with a generous tip. The whole crew is first rate and made the trip a lot of fun.

My boyfriend and I did two 4 hr trips with the Blue Heron Fishing Charter boat for the first time and it was a great experience! It was our first time deep see fishing , but the staff Captain Johnny and Sean were so friendly and helpful in assisting us! All the staff member were very encouraging. On the second trip I caught a twelve pound King Mackerel ! I definitely would recommend the Blue Heron to anyone ! 5 stars !

We had a great time and even saw sharks! Crew was on top of it, friendly, funny and helpful. The only thing that could have made this experience better would have been a few less people as our fishing lines kept getting tangled up on each other.
