Overview

This is a half day, 4 hour guided fishing trip in a custom drift boat on the Kenai River as well as the Kasilof River on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska. These trips provide great opportunities to experience unparalleled fishing for Pacific Salmon and Trout on some of the most Pristine waterways in Alaska. We provide all necessary tackle and equipment as well as complimentary snacks, coffee, tea, water and soda.

What To Expect

Cooper Landing Fishing Guide

One of our Professional Fishing Guides will meet you at the pre-arranged meeting location for check-in and for the start of your orientation and fishing trip. This half day of fishing requires that you purchase a fishing license and bring warm layers of clothing. We will contact you upon your reservation to give you further details about your trip. My two adult sons and I went to Anchorage and Girdwood for a Summer father-son vacation and wanted to fish the Kenai River. We booked a half day trip with Dave at Cooper Landing Fishing Guide.com and couldn't be happier with our choice. Dave was easy to reach via e-mail and text and was quick to respond to my questions and a last minute scheduling change. When we arrived at the boat ramp, Dave was already there with all the gear we needed: chest waders, boots, fly rods and reels, flies, hooks, etc. We floated the upper Kenai River with stops along the way to fish from the banks of the River. Dave was very nice and knowledgeable about the River, Alaska and fishing. It was a such a pleasure talking with him while we floated the river that I personally didn't care if I caught any fish. But Dave made sure we all caught fish on the trip. I have fished on the Kenai many times over the last twenty years with many guides, and I have to say that I will continue to go back to Dave from now on. Thanks Dave!

A patient and concise intro to Spey casting had me slinging and swinging in no time. Shortly thereafter, a PR 28” beautiful stud rainbow was netted. Incredible! What more need be said about someone who has a line in the water 300 days of the year? You couldn’t ask for a greater wealth of knowledge from someone on their home water.

We had the pleasure of spending half the day floating down the Kenai with Dave on the hunt for Rainbows. Dave is a patient teacher and took time to teach us the fly before starting our float. We caught more Rainbows than we could count, Dolly Varden, and even Pink Salmon. Dave knows his stuff, so look no where else for the best fishing experience in Alaska. Thank you Dave for being our biggest cheerleader! I promise that we will be back to see you.
