The guide was fabulous - Mike Adams. He supplied everything & was most responsive leading up to the trip. I was expecting to fish from a boat but that was actually a small part of the trip. We were supplied waders to fly fish from the river. It is a very fast moving river & I just felt unsure of myself. My husband loved it & caught 5 fish with Mikeā€™s help. It was a good overall experience but would only recommend to someone familiar w fly fishing

Thank you for fishing with me and for taking the time to share your experience. Iā€™m glad you enjoyed your trip. I intentionally chose places to shore fish where you could stand in the boat to fish rather than wade in the river. I had hoped that this would provide you with the measure of comfort you were looking for. It sounds like it would have been even more ideal for you if trolling for salmon had been more productive so we could have stuck with that the entire time. I hope you enjoy your fresh caught Alaskan salmon and that you created positive lasting memories on your trip with me.

Catching 2 sockeye. My companion caught also. Mike Adams was a patient and extremely helpful guide, coach & companion.

Mike is truly an expert and professional fisherman! He has so much knowledge about Alaska (fishing, conservation, etc.) and is willing to share with his guests. Despite the unseasonably cold weather, our party of 4 (3 adults and 1 child) had an amazing time on the river with Mike as our guide. He was very patient and took the time to explain things for all to understand (especially our 11yo son). The picture says it all! šŸ‘
