What To Expect

Wailua River State Park

Paddle the majestic Wailua River for 2 miles each way (4 miles total round trip), original home of the first Hawaiians, who paddled 1500 miles from the Marquesas Islands to Kaua`i almost 1500 years ago. Hear the legends and learn about the flora and fauna of Kauai`s most sacred area.

Secret Falls (Uluwehi Falls)

After hiking 1 1/4 miles through the rain forest our guides will take clients to Secret Falls also known as Uluwehi Falls. This beautiful waterfall cascades 110 feet into a refreshing swimming hole, where they can go for a dip and enjoy a terrific lunch! You will then hike 1 1/4 miles back to your kayak (2 1/2 miles of hiking round trip) Bring Closed Toed Shoes / Reef shoes / Teeva Style Sandals

My husband and I did the 12:30 five hour kayak/ hike / picnic at the falls and had a fantastic time! Zach was our guide and he was super knowledgeable and helpful and a lot of fun. We’d recommend it to everyone! Kayaking on the Wailua River was so peaceful and beautiful. The hike was a great adventure with beautiful foliage and wildlife along the way. We enjoyed a nice picnic by the beautiful waterfall.

Well organized, friendly and knowledgeable. You get your money’s worth in this combo of river kayaking and rugged hiking. Anya was a terrific guide. Highly recommend the early morning outing as the trail and river get more hectic as later in the day.

We had a fantastic time. Zach was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the plants and animals we saw on the trip as well as the history of area. He was enthusiastic about every aspect of the trip which lead to a great time for everyone. Zach did not hesitate to give suggestions about places to eat or other places to go on the island. Overall it was an awesome trip and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to spend some time in the outdoors and isn’t afraid of having to put in a bit of work to go see some fantastic views.
