Matt was a great guide! The weather was not very cooperative but he helped our group muddy their way through it!

Our guide, Matt, was great. He is very knowledgeable about the history of the area, and that made the tour even more interesting. The kayaking portion of the trip was easy since there was no wind on the day of our trip. The hike was not easy with it being so muddy throughout the trail. Saw several people hiking in sandals and flipflops. Would definitely recommend closed toe shoes (old sneakers or wading shoes). You will get muddy, and you will cross streams with large rocks beneath the surface. The hike is worth it once you get to the waterfall. It is a special place. We had a great time, and highly recommend this excursion!

Thank you for joining us at Rainbow Kayak Tours, and taking a moment out of your schedule to share your wonder adventure with us! We are happy to hear you had a great day out with Matt with the muddy conditions we have seen lately. Yes our staff always recommend tennis shoes/hiking boots or covered toe hiking sandals. We hope to see you again in the future! Have a beautiful day! Mahalo, Sheila Fernandez

Our guide, Zach, was the best! He had the best dad jokes and definitely loves his job and it shows! Shared lots of information about the flora, fauna and history of the island as we did the couple mile kayak up to the mile hike to the secret waterfall. Took a dip in the secret waterfall and had a picnic. It was truly a magical experience and would highly recommend this trip to anyone. It is pretty strenuous as you will be paddling up river for a couple of miles and the hike is quite muddy, like walking on uneven rocks and clay, so just be aware of that, otherwise, it was the highlight for me on my trip to Kauai!
