What To Expect

Wailua River State Park

Paddle the majestic Wailua River for 2 miles each way (4 miles total round trip), original home of the first Hawaiians, who paddled 1500 miles from the Marquesas Islands to Kaua`i almost 1500 years ago. Hear the legends and learn about the flora and fauna of Kauai`s most sacred area.

Secret Falls (Uluwehi Falls)

After hiking 1 1/4 miles through the rain forest our guides will take clients to Secret Falls also known as Uluwehi Falls. This beautiful waterfall cascades 110 feet into a refreshing swimming hole, where they can go for a dip and enjoy a terrific lunch! You will then hike 1 1/4 miles back to your kayak (2 1/2 miles of hiking round trip) Bring Closed Toed Shoes / Reef shoes / Teeva Style Sandals

We loved the hike through the lush different tree's and plants in a jungle type setting. Thomas our guide was very knowledgeable about anything from culture to various plant types. If you like nature and outdoors this is a must.

A great way to spend an afternoon. Beautiful river scenery for 2 miles followed by a one mile moderate hike through various terrain to reach the “ secret falls” - the kind you imagine when you think about Hawaii. Getting under the falls was a highlight. Our guide “Kayak Zach” was funny, told corny jokes and begged us for some, but never took his eye off the ball in ensuring we were all feeling good and safe. He also shared details about the local plants and flowers we saw on the hike. Highly recommend as a way to be active and see amazing scenery.

Our guide Allen was amazing. He was so informative and knew so much about the Island. He truly was the best guide we have ever experienced. This is one of our favorite excursions to do; a little bit of water fun some mild hiking and a lunch with a beautiful view. It was a great day!
