What To Expect

Wailua River State Park

Paddle the majestic Wailua River for 2 miles each way (4 miles total round trip), original home of the first Hawaiians, who paddled 1500 miles from the Marquesas Islands to Kaua`i almost 1500 years ago. Hear the legends and learn about the flora and fauna of Kauai`s most sacred area.

Secret Falls (Uluwehi Falls)

After hiking 1 1/4 miles through the rain forest our guides will take clients to Secret Falls also known as Uluwehi Falls. This beautiful waterfall cascades 110 feet into a refreshing swimming hole, where they can go for a dip and enjoy a terrific lunch! You will then hike 1 1/4 miles back to your kayak (2 1/2 miles of hiking round trip) Bring Closed Toed Shoes / Reef shoes / Teeva Style Sandals

This was our second time booking this adventure with Rainbow Kayak Tours. My daughter and I had so much fun last year we wanted to do it again with our sisters! The adventure is pretty challenging (especially the kayaking) if you are not in decent shape but it is absolutely worth it! The guide was very knowledgable and very nice. Super fun experience! Thank you!

Fantastic experience. Highlight of our trip. Easy kayaking up the river. Beautiful views. Hiking through gorgeous forest to awesome waterfall. To boot, our host, a science teacher, informed us about specific plants on the way.

We did the this trip with our family 10 years ago. The addition of the board walks are very helpful! Our guide Allen was very calm, knowledgeable and explained everything in a detailed and concise manner. The trip was challenging and rewarding. The kayaking and hike to the waterfall were a unforgettable way to experience the nature of Kauai In an experiential manner. The trees, river and waterfall are unforgettable!
