What To Expect

Sarasota

We will depart from the Marina in Sarasota and travel out into the intracoastal waterway!

Casey Key

As we make our way out the intracoastal we will head south towards Venice! Our first sight will be Historic Spanish Point! A home to early Florida settlers and a historically important archaeological site! Immediately following we will pass under the Casey Key Swing Bridge, one of only 83 still in operation in the US!

Venice

As we continue on our way south the color of the water begins to transform from brown brackish water to a clear aquamarine tropical paradise. This is largely due to the flow of fresh water coming in from Venice Inlet! Keep your eyes open for Dolphin! As we arrive in Venice Inlet we will pass many great tikis! We can stop for a bite or a cocktail or head to snake island for some shelling! We can always hit the tiki on the way back so no rush! Lets go shelling!

Nokomis

After shelling and a splash let’s stop for a quick bite or pick up something to go! Pop’s Subset grill is a great spot! Not hungry? Let’s head north and look for Dolphins! We can always stop at Casey Key Fish house by the swing bridge!

Siesta Key

As we get back to Sarasota and Siesta Key we will checkout the mangroves and beautiful homes as we make our way back to port! What a blast!

Captain Justin was fantastic. He customized the trip to our desires. He adjusted our charter time to avoid afternoon storms. He made sure we saw dolphins. He had lots of knowledge about the area. He took us to a couple of really fun stops. He was in tune to safety. He was helpful and hospitable in every way. He was conversational but never annoying. A perfect outing for our family. No fishing or water sports, so if that’s your thing, this is not your guy. But if you want a great day on the water with some great stops, Captain Justin is just right!

I am so bummed that I did not know about Captain Justin years ago! He had six of us on board as part of my bachelorette party and it was absolutely the highlight of the weekend. Capt. Justin was clearly very focused on safety, but also made sure we had a blast by playing our music, making terribly great puns, and keeping an eye on when our cooler was running low. He was so flexible, but knew the coolest spots to take us. This includes sand bars, tiki huts, and spotting a dolphin and manatee! He also knew where the best picture spots were and because of him we have some beautiful pictures that I will always treasure. I seriously cannot wait to recommend Capt. Justin to all my friends, family and anyone remotely close to Sarasota. Thank you for an incredible time Justin!!

We’ve rented boats many times coming to siesta key. And capt justin is our favorite! We had an amazing boat ride and went to a cool sandbar and floated around. Then we went to Jew key-an underwater sand island. It’s about waist deep, and snorkeled ….we found 12 live sanddollars and some big shells and crab! It was so cool! He is knowledgeable and knows some cool spots to take ya!!!
