My wife and I went on the Afternoon Rocky Mountain Escape tour and what a brilliant experience it was! The tour lasts around 4 hours so is perfect if youā€™re limited for time or just want to be taken to a couple of the best places without enduring a full day tour. First stop on our trip was the charming town of Idaho Springs giving us a short rest and chance to look around the shops and grab some photos. We then started to get some altitude and headed up to Echo Lake where we enjoyed the beautiful views across the water. The tour then took us to its true highlight which was Juniper Pass which is about 11,000 ft up in the Rockies and offers a truly stunning view! We both agreed that we found this view more pleasing than that offered by the Grand Canyon, but thatā€™s just personal preference of course. The peace (and pure air) youā€™ll experience up here is incredible so make sure once youā€™ve taken your photos to just relax for a while and take it all in. The tour then headed back to Denver leaving us totally elated at everything weā€™d seen, including a herd of bison running down a hillside on the way back. Special mention must go to our fabulous guide, Susie. Weā€™re veterans of these tours and Susie must be the hardest working guide weā€™ve ever met! She really does care that everyone has a great time and goes out of her way to make sure everyone takes away a special memory of the tour. We hadnā€™t anticipated quite how cold it would be at Juniper Pass and Susie was very kind to my wife by lending her a jacket and scarf making sure she was comfortable and could enjoy the experience - thanks Susie! So this is a superb tour and great value for money - we highly recommend it!

Enjoyed our tour guide, Gentry and her local facts, explanation of our trip and the places we visited very much. Had some excellent photo ops. Walked several miles on easy paths. Good for age 10 and up and active elderly. Go at your own pace. Not touristy locations. Just wish we had time to explore more.

Gentry was awesome and informative. I would definitely recommend stopping here first and get recommendations on what to do later on in your visit.
