My husband and I paid for this tour at least a month prior. Once we arrived, they had the date incorrect. Then they wrote and said they had an "emergency" on the date that was scheduled, so we reset the date to the only day left on our vacation that was not booked up. Then THAT morning...they wrote and said the guy doing the tour "sprained his foot" and the float would not be going out. I was irritated because that was the only day we had to go....we were leaving the next day and told him it was unacceptable. In about 30 minutes he wrote back and said he was taking us out himself. It was a raining crumby day out (not like the day we SHOULD have gone originally). Surprisingly....after telling us that no floats were going out that day....there were at least 8 other people that showed up for the float!!!!! AND, while floating in the wet crumby day...he starting telling everyone how the guy that normally does the float wanted a day off to have fun with his girlfriend. I guess he forgot the story about the spained foot he told us earlier. NEVER AGAIN

Our group floated down the Snake River in a rubber raft with approximately 8 people plus the guide. It was a crisp fall morning, but by the time the trip ended, we had shed our jackets. We ended the day with a picnic lunch provided by the outfitters. The views were spectacular and we saw several eagles during our trip. The tour guide was very proficient, and even though she was small in stature, the raft followed her commands and her knowledge of the river was very educational. Interesting fact: we entered the river at a beautiful, scenic location and we exited the river at an ugly commercial/construction site.
