This was one of the highlights of our week-long stay in the area. We booked a lunch float on a sunny Thursday. I was very surprised to see the size of the raft that apparently 13 of us tourist would fit in plus 3 coolers of food and of course our guide. We all fit, however, and had a great time. Our guide was very knowledgeable having grown up in the area, but also had a great wit that kept the trip very entertaining. We saw some bald eagles and a couple of marmots. Oh and the elusive regional bovines. The day and scenery was picture perfect. We stopped halfway through our trip on a rocky island and had a delicious (and large) lunch. We had a few pockets of excitement where we would hit a few "bumps" and the 50 degree water would splash on us, so this isn't a completely dry trip. But that just added to the fun. Overall it was just a lovely day.
