My trek america group went to do white water rafting with this company and we had best time ever! Water was crazy and half of the people fell in at one point but we were all so happy about it!! Our boatā€™s guide Neil was fun and experienced and I recommend him to anyone. One advice is that confident swimming skill seems necessary because there is a practice swimming session at the beginning and you will most likely fall in at some point. Current is strong and I felt scared at some point because it felt like I wasnā€™t moving fast enough even with years of swimming experience.

I initially signed up to do the 2 canyon trip, but I ended up staying to do the third canyon. Definitely the adventure of a lifetime and well worth the money. Very safety conscious company. As a beginner to white water rafting I was a little nervous going in, but the guides are wonderful and go over everything thoroughly. You need to know how to swim well to pass the river swim test. I did a lot of amazing things while in Alaska and this was the highlight.

What an amazing day! The NOVA team is so experienced and so professional! Shout out to Shawn (sp?) & Kenny who made sure we had all the info we needed to have a safe and enjoyable experience. It is a fantastic mix of natural Alaska beauty (in the calm spots) and incredible adreline rushes through the 3 canyons. But this is not a "float". If you are looking to kick back and slowly float down a river, softly paddling every few minutes, there are other trips for you - but this is not it. This is action packed, thrill a minute white water rafting! My group was from Alaska so we were not as intimidated by the cold water. But not to worry if you are from warmer climates, NOVA provides you a full dry suit (which are WAY easier to get into than a wet suit). All I can say is if any part of you is a fan of river rafting you do not want to miss this experience. You will talk about this for years to come!
