Fun times. Not super insane/crazy but not for weaklings. If you want an adrenaline rush then do this! Neil, Archie , Popcorn and the others were great and thorough. Did the class V with my 78 year old dad and felt like we were in safe hands.

We did the Three Canyon run and had an absolute blast! Our guide Gumby was fun and extremely knowledgeable about both this river and rafting in general. We were concerned at first about the "swim test" however it is really just to make sure you are comfortable in the water wearing the drysuit, which is understandable as most visitors do not have experience with this. While in the canyons the rapids come at you hard and quick making a very exhilarating experience. While the scenic floats between canyons provide a relaxing breather. The third canyon is class 4 and 5's, and while the guides giving some what daunting speeches making sure everyone is 100% sure they want to do the third, I would highly recommend doing it. The guides are incredibly knowledgeable and we always felt safe. The third canyon is very "technically" challenging and narrow. We had an awesome time and highly recommend this trip!

Highly recommend - they are thorough when it comes to the details of the dry suits, the raft, safety instructions, paddling commands, visual commands, capsizing instructions - by the time you hit the water, you have everything you need to know to have a fun filled time flying over rapids, navigating your way through canyons, and watching the beautiful scenery go by. The 3 canyon rapids were the way to go - heck, the Class 5 were no problem as we had already capsized in Class 4 - lol! Fun times - hope to get there again next time I am in Alaska! Thanks guys!
