Hamilton Musical Walking Tour

Overview
Take a song-by-song stroll through Hamilton’s rise and eventual fall as New York’s foremost Founding Father. This tour is designed for folks who have already seen or plan to see the 11 Tony Award winning Broadway production or those just addicted to the cast album. The tour puts the songs, history and lower Manhattan locations into perspective. The tour matches up individual songs with their actual location, including some bonus stops that help illuminate the time and place that Alexander Hamilton lived and died in. Each guest receives a Personal Listening Device to insure you hear every word and note, no matter how noisy the city gets.

  • This tour "may" not be for children under the age of 9. There is a fair amount of historical information and stories, sometimes the younger children can become bored. However, you know your child best and this is more of a guideline than a rule.
  • I try to keep the harsher language out of the tour, but it is impossible to eliminate certain profanities and parents should be prepared for their children to hear this.
  • We do visit the gravesites
  • Tours are subject to cancellation when Wind Chill falls below 30 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Per NYS regulations, Masks are Mandatory as well as Social Distancing inside the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. Please use common sense while in our fair city. After each tour the Radios are sanitized and sealed. I bring along disposable “caps” for each earpiece.

We booked as we love the show and we’re really looking forward to it having read about this tour. Clearly with the weather really rainy was going to be challenging, however we felt that the experience was a let down from our expectation. The Guide who I won’t name was a nice chap, but the route, the explanations and the set up of the tour was In My opinion quite amateur. Like I say I am not going to speak bad of the guide he was a nice chap but the overall experience for us was very underwhelming and would not have paid as much as we did had we known.

I am so sorry the tour did not meet your expectations. I will speak to the guide in question and see if there is anything we can improve to help avoid this from occurring in the future. I will contact you offline to see what can be done to "make it right".

Chazz was great and very knowledgeable. As both a Hamilton and history fan, it's great to get to talk with someone else who is so well versed in both, and seeing the locations and hearing the stories was a great experience, I highly recommend.

Just having the chance to walk on the same ground where history was made and to envision what was going on at the time of the revolution in NYC was powerful. Trinity Church was a great ending and we left with wonder and question whether our Democracy will survive the threat it is facing today from Congress that is more concerned about reelection than the citizens it represents.

Things haven't changed much in terms of finding politicians who put the country before self interests. This play has awakened the discussion and maybe will help folks make sense of our history and our future.
