What To Expect

Hana Highway - Road to Hana

As you fly along Maui’s North Coast, you'll enjoy views of breathtaking sea cliffs and cascading waterfalls on your 40-minute round-trip helicopter flight. Your pilot will point out popular points of interest from above such as Paia, Hookipa, Haiku and the famous surf destination – JAWS. You'll also see the 'Road to Hana' and the iconic Jurassic Rock before your exclusive landing destination deep in the Hawaiian rainforest.

Wailua Valley State Wayside Park

Your helicopter will descend and land for 30-minutes of exploration on a former taro plantation in the Wailua Valley. Traverse the lush vegetation including banana, coconut and wild flowers and indulge in scenic panoramic views as you are surrounded by canyons and waterfalls. Your pilot will provide extensive knowledge of the land which very few people have ever stepped foot on. Please note: Per FAA regulations, all passengers 18 years and older will be required to show photo ID such as a driver's license or passport at the time of check-in.

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Viewing the Maui northern coast and rainforest from above is out of this world. Very happy with Mavericks Helicopters. Their operation is very professional and we felt totally safe flying with them.

Instead of driving the road to Hana, we chose to fly. Our outstanding pilot, Brad, hosted the tour and provided us with breathtaking views of the island as well as the rich history of the land. Money well spent!!!

What a great way to see Maui and more specifically the Hana Rainforest. Jake was a fantastic pilot and had a wealth of knowledge about the island. Landing in the rainforest was such an adventure and in itself. Maverick’s helicopters (ECO-star) are amazing and the wrap around windows make it easy for everyone to have a killer view. If your even considering taking a helicopter tour of the island, do it and definitely go with this company.
