We flew into town, and were eager to attend the Red, White and Boom firework 4th of July VIP event. Having spent $200 on tickets, we assumed we'd be able to see fireworks. The event was to start at 7pm, we got there at 630 and it was chaos . People continously got their bands and cut us and the overwhelmed employee was trying her hardest but it should have been more organized. Not many food options once we got to the VIP area. Our server, an older gentleman was incredible about keeping a drink in our hand and remembered what we were each drinking. We finally snagged a seat when others left due to the limited food and non existent view. When fireworks started, we hoped we'd see them, but only the very right corner people standing could see maybe 25% of them. We also couldn't hear the symphony that the fireworks 'dance' to, which we thought would be played/streamed into speakers. We left 5 minutes in and went downstairs to the main broadway roadway and stood in the sea of people for much better viewing. We were very disappointed in the HR building blocking the fireworks and the lack of organization.
