My husband and I met with some Canadian friends at Niagara this past weekend. While waiting for our friends to arrive my husband and I had dinner, just the two of us at Hard Rock on the Friday night. If this review was based solely on that experience, it would be a solid 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. It was a amazing, we had less than 10 minutes wait time. The staff was attentive, helpful and pleasant. We received our drinks and meal in a timely manner & the food was excellent.
Fast forward to Saturday, after a day of visiting the Falls and shopping at the outlets, all of us( including our 3 friends) decided to head to Hard Rock for dinner as it was the best option, based on proximity to our hotel and other food options in the area. We stopped in around 6pm and was given an hour and a half wait time( which was not bad in our opinion as we were leaning more towards an 8pm dinner time). It helped that our hotel was across the street. We went back to the rooms to relax and walked back to Hard Rock at 7:30pm and received a call while we were outside the restaurant telling us that our table was ready.
As soon as we were seated, we realized that they were short staffed. It took an hour for us to get our drinks, even though we ordered them as soon as we were seated & it took an even longer time for us to get our food. One of our friends ordered the nacho plate & she did not receive her plate until 15 minutes or so after we all received our order which included a rack of ribs & a rib eye steak. Upon receipt of her nachos, she realized that the guacamole was not really guacamole, but just one whole, hard, rotten avocado that was chopped into about 4 pieces and stuffed in a “cup”.
I understand that they were short staffed & the resturant was/is extremely busy on especially Saturday nights. However, based on reviews, I’ve read above mine, this is not a new problem that they are having and they should look into having it addressed or costumers will find better options!
