The most appalling restaurant. Tried to go for dinner, even though we know the food would not be stellar, but due to it being later in the evening and everywhere else closes early, we decided to go there just to have a quick bite.
Restaurant was not crowded at all, with plenty of open tables as evidenced by the pictures. Hostess tried to seat us at a high table, but due to back issues we asked to be seated at a regular table (seeing that there were plenty of empty ones around). She said she couldn't do that as "I don't have a server there". Ok, in the sections that do "have a server", they were within 5 ft. of the table we would prefer to be at, but apparently there must be an electric fence or something that they can't cross over. Even the sections that purportedly have servers were quite empty, meaning that server could take the extra few step outside of their "zone"? I get it, they have their sections, but you're going to inconvenience a potential diner because you can't get someone to crossover and serve a table? We were told all the other servers are at a "private party". Wasn't entirely sure whether they were partying or serving a private party. In either case, it means the restaurant didn't adequately plan for their staffing for that evening.
The hostess tried to ask a manager about seating us some where else, and said if we sat there, we'd have to wait about 20 minutes before we can have a server. Was quite unbelievable as there were servers working there that we can see. I don't believe that we'd have gotten a server in 20 minutes anyway if they were all at a party.
While this was going on, a party of three came in to the restaurant, and one of the gentlemen was in a wheelchair, so we asked if they were going to try to sit the wheel-chair bound gentlemen at the high table? And they said no, they'll just sit at a regular table and will have to wait till a server comes to that section. Unbelievable. So someone with a disability won't get service. What century does Hard Rock Cafe think they're in? Completely shameful!
We left. Cannot imagine trying to give them the business - not like they really seem like they wanted it anyway. There are other ways to support the Seminole Tribe if you so desire. If you are in this area and need a bite later in the evening, I suggest going to the casino hotel, they have a couple of restaurants that stay open and you will get a server there.
