Was a great trip, such an energetic experience. The meal was so so but the music at the lunch was again very good.

It was not what we.signed up for, we didn't want a history tour, we wanted a gospel performance which was way too short. The Guide was atrocious with her own political agenda

We are sorry that our Harlem Gospel Tour did not meet your expectations. Perhaps if you read the extensive description of our tour prior to your purchase you would have noticed that this experience is a HISTORIC Tour of Harlem. Since you are so put off by history's "political agenda" you should have bought a ticket to a Broadway performance because you attended a real church service, this was not a show. Lastly, you have the right to dislike our tour. However, since you clearly did not read the content, you are in no position to tell other people how to spend their money. Cordially,

I was very disappointed with this experience. The tour got off to rough start with a last minute detour to pick up other guests. The brief stop at the Apollo was dull and unengaging. I would have appreciated more background and history about this iconic place. All we did is snap a few photos in front. The sound system at the church we attended (Greater Highway Deliverance Temple) was painfully loud, making it difficult to enjoy the music. The choir was drowned out by the lead singers and the musicians. I was excited to learn that brunch was at the Cotton Club but it, too, fell far below expectations. The club is dingy, dirty, and not well maintained. The food was mediocre at best. The short ribs were tough, and everything was bland and under seasoned. Our guide, Alvin (?) was a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing tour. He was very knowledgeable and pointed out several points of interest along the way. I was hoping for much more of this as we went along.
