Emily was an amazing story teller - the only thing that could have made it better was if she had a microphone. Austin has a busy night life - the noise was often overpowering, but Emily worked to reposition us to better locations when able.

Thanks so much for your review! We are happy you enjoyed your tour and thank you for the suggestion on using microphones. We do use them on occasion but find that, whenever possible, a non-amplified human voice is the ā€œspookiestā€ instrument to communicate a ghost story. That said, yeah, Austin can get a little noisy! We agree Emily is a fantastic Tour Guide and we hope you can come back and see us soon, she leads Murder Walk as well, you might love that! Thank you so much for your thoughtful review Amber! It means the world to us that you chose to tour with Walking and Tours of Austin! We have exclusive access to the Speakeasy Tavern and, of course, we love to stroll through the historic (and haunted) Driskill Hotel. Please do come back and see us soon! Bring your friends on Murder Walk Austin, youā€™ll love it! Best, JM, owner, Touratx

The guide was nice, but the tour was extremely lackluster and cheesy. If youā€™re going to call it a walking tour, it should mean a proper walk through the city. We literally went back and forth around the same block, and went inside one building. We wanted to see the city with a fun spooky story twist; very disappointing and would not recommend.

Sorry you did not enjoy your experience. Our tours typically do cover a good amount of Austinā€™s most historic districts. We walk about 1 and 1/4 miles, to separate and unique areas, including, the Warehouse District, Guytown, Congress Ave., famous 6th street, and more! In addition, the tour enters not 1, but 2, historic (and haunted) buildings, the Speakeasy Tavern and the Driskill Hotel. Not exactly sure where your guide took you but, weā€™ll look into it as we strive for excellence in every tour. Best, Touratx
