My tour was definitely one to remember- we scheduled it for the same night as the Pride parade downtown (unknowingly). Our guide, Daelen, was incredible despite this unusual circumstance! He texted us to make sure we could navigate through the parade to find the starting point- even waiting for stragglers who were struggling with the parade parking. Despite the obstacles, Daelen did his best to keep the tour as normal as possible and we had a great time. We got to see cool spots downtown and he had cool pictures to share that went with the stories.

Thanks so much for your review. We know it was a crazy night as the parade was WAY larger than it has been I the past. It usually is no trouble crossing Congress on the night of this event, but patience was necessary this Saturday:) Thanks again and weā€™re so glad you enjoyed your experience with Daelen:)!! I have been on better tours, and we have done alot of ghost tours. It was during pride and they had no idea so they had to skirt around the parade and it interfered with the quality of the tour.

We apologize for the inconvenience. The Pride parade was much larger this year than years past which clogged up Congress Ave. for longer than expected. At Walking Tours of Austin we strive to get better with each and every tour and will take your comments into consideration for next years parade. Best regards, Jim Miles, owner, Touratx
