Hoping for a little Halloween fun, my husband and I booked this tour on a bit of a whim. We are so glad we did! We met near Starbucks, and we finished up near the Capitol. We didn't walk too much/too fast and did have an opportunity to sit during a couple of the tales. Our tour guide, Samuel Chase, was knowledgeable and funny, spinning us tales of quirky historical moments and spooky occurrences around the Capitol Hill area. I was glad that there was nothing too spooky, though, since I am a bona fide scaredy cat! Cannot wait to recommend this tour to all our friends in D.C.!

We had a great time! Samuel Chase is a great story teller and kept us entertained the whole tour. It was not too much walking, and loved seeing the Capitol at night.

Our guide appeared very knowledgable but the stories were scattered, told with stops and starts, and didn't have much substance. She also made a couple of claims about some of the buildings that were false - which caused me to wonder how much of her narrative was fiction. We weren't expecting actual ghosts but I was hoping for great views, a narrative of DC that I hadn't heard before, and, if nothing else, some entertainment. We didn't get much of that in the first hour of the tour and made the decision to make a quiet exit. We still tipped her a small sum since we know everyone deserves to make a living for their work, even if it wasn't what we had hoped or expected. The teenagers were especially underwhelmed.
