I bought my tickets from Groupon and I should say it was worth it!!! Catherine, our group tour lady was so nice and she knows all the scariest and historical sites of Washington, DC. I will recommend it to friends and family. It was so beautiful walking around the Capitol area and a perfect night!

We had promised our teenage daughter a ghost tour during our President's Day weekend in Washington DC, and the Scary DC tour was the only one running out of season. We had to book a private tour so we were hoping for an interesting 90 mins for $50 pp. Samuel Chase was very knowledgeable; and despite our dearth of US Capitol history (we're Brits), he made the walk very entertaining and fact filled. I think our daughter was hoping for the odd ghost sighting or two, but sadly, we didn't have any paranormal experiences - not even the legendary harbinger-of-death cat that had appeared the night before - but she still enjoyed herself. Was it value for money? Yes! Mr. Chase successfully engaged, educated and entertained an uninformed group. The tour would be enhanced by a better grasp of US historical figures and their stories.

the tour was ok,.. I have been to three "Haunted Tours" within the past 8 months and I have to say I was disappointed in the haunted DC tour... It wasn't the tour guide, she was great, it was more a disappointment in the content. The haunted tours of Baltimore and Annapolis were better.
