The City of Salem has rescinded its face mask and proof of vaccination order. You no longer have to show proof of vaccination or wear a face mask to enter our office and gift shop. It is subject to change in the future.

We use an amplifier so you can social distance. Masks are not required outdoors but are optional. Effective Aug. 23, Salem is requiring that masks must be worn indoors whether you are vaccinated or not. You'll only need to come into our office to pick up your tickets and/or to peruse our gift shop.

Allan was a great storyteller and very fun. He is obviously very knowledgeable and a very nice person to chat with. At the first stop another lady on the tour and I were taking photos. She then said “look at this!” She had taken three photos in a row and the first and last were normal, the second had a glowing light in the window. The other people on the tour were great to talk with as we went around as well. Very enjoyable.

My favorite place is the mansion with the garden so I'm glad we stopped there. It was nice to hear the stories behind it. The tour was interesting and informative with personal stories.
