The City of Salem has rescinded its face mask and proof of vaccination order. You no longer have to show proof of vaccination or wear a face mask to enter our office and gift shop. It is subject to change in the future.

We use an amplifier so you can social distance. Masks are not required outdoors but are optional. Effective Aug. 23, Salem is requiring that masks must be worn indoors whether you are vaccinated or not. You'll only need to come into our office to pick up your tickets and/or to peruse our gift shop.

Wasn't a lot of witch stories. Tour guide talked a lot did not see a lot of stuff. Wasn't at all what we expected

Sorry this wasn't what you expected but this is NOT a tour about what happened during the 1692 Witchcraft Trials. We do that at 4 p.m. and we bury you deep in facts about neighbor turning against neighbor. This is clearly stated on our website and brochures. We go to 8-10 locations on our ghost tour where paranormal activity has happened.

When my girlfriend and I were planning our trip to Salem, the single most important element of the trip was a walking tour of the historically spooky sites of the Witch City. This one did NOT disappoint! Jeff was so knowledgable about the history of the city, knew the creepy inside scoops of each location we visited, and was absolutely entertaining [and comical at times]. We loved his approach and ability to communicate. Many of the stories he told were intriguing and greatly detailed. We had also just had a major issue with our car earlier in the day and they were able to provide references for a few different local mechanics (one of which we will also be writing a great review for!). Would recommend and would go back! Thanks, Jeff & the Haunted Footsteps crew!

Our guide was obviously very knowledgable about Salem, it's history, and it's ghosts! He himself claimed to have experienced multiple various supernatural events. However, he was also charmingly campy and kept the discussion nice and light. We never stayed too long at any one location, and it felt like there was plenty to see, but still left us wanting more! I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning about the hauntings and the history of this town as well as some interesting factoids about movies and tv shows.
