Haunted Memphis Walking Ghost Tour

Overview
Enjoy the darker side of Memphis and hear tales of the city's haunted heritage as told by professional storytellers. The city’s South Main Historic District – an eclectic, colorful area with some of the city’s oldest buildings – has a long history of sensational murders and ghostly activity. On this two-hour walking tour, you'll visit a number of haunted sites, including:
• The Orpheum Theater, home of "Mary," who has haunted performances since 1921
• The John Alexander Austin House, a Victorian era mansion haunted by star-crossed lovers
• The notorious Ernestine & Hazel's, a former brothel long recognized as one of the most haunted buildings in Memphis. We'll take you inside this creepy establishment, home to several ghosts as well as a haunted jukebox.

Our tour guide, Talia, was a lot of fun. She was knowledgable, energetic, and very aware of all the things going on as this area of Memphis is extremely busy this time on a Friday night. As for the tour itself, it was a decent amount of walking from site to site - wear good walking shoes! The best, and most disturbing stop was one of the last. When we did our tour it was still 95 degrees as 10:00 pm. There are a few opportunities to stop and get a cold beer… as there are a few haunted bars. Even though we had three of our kids with us that would have been a great extra. There was one stop for a bathroom/“water” break. Maybe we didn’t read between the lines as quickly as we should have. Anyhow, we really enjoyed the bits of history and the spooky/dark side of it all. Would recommend if you like this sort of thing. 👍🏻

Our tour guide was great and a bit of a prankster. Great tour for those who are intrigued by the paranormal and love ghost stories!! It was in the evening which adds to the ambience. I would highly recommend this tour!

It was a wonderful walk with the history of the area and our guide was very personable. She was amusing and very tactful with the more adult events when speaking of them in consideration of the children in the group
