I booked the Haunted San Diego Ghost Tour with my two children (ages 17 &16) on our first visit to San Diego. I had been on walking tours in other cities and they were always fun. A few hours before the tour, I was called to see if we could reschedule for the following day as we were "blessed" with rain. No worries, of course we could! The host ( Brian, I believe) gave me a detailed rundown of what to expect and was very pleasant.
Our tour guide, Rosalita, was in Victorian dress and very knowledgable about the history of the sites we visited. At one site, she needed to unlock a gate for us to enter. After trying for a while, she had to call for assistance because it wouldn't open. She was never able to open the lock. Through all of this she never broke character and told us about the hauntings in the home and continued on without breaking stride. I actually thought it was a part of the tour. She had said we would be receiving refunds since we were unable to get into the house.
We continued on to our other destinations and ended in an old cemetery. We enjoyed the entire tour- the narration, the comfortable bus ride, and the locations. I truly didn't expect a refund as the tour as we saw it was worth it. Later that evening, I received a text that we were refunded our admission. Again, I felt the tour was excellent even though we were unable to enter one of the haunted destinations. It's that kind of detail and customer service that helps to set Haunted San Diego Ghost Tours apart from the rest.
Thanks again Brian and Rosalita!

Thank you Lance! Yes that was a trying night for us. The HD house had been doing some upgrades and forgot to change the lock back so we were shocked not to get in. Rosalinda did a wonderful job keeping it together (no access to that location is a big deal for us). As such we felt we didn't not give the presentation to our standards, thus the refund. Really appreciate your understand and still enjoyment. It makes what we do worthwhile even in our occasional missteps. :)
