We booked early on the morning day of, and were pleased with how easy the process was. Our tour started in the tiny spooky room. With Aphelia, our guide. She along with our driver Capt D were awesome. Highly recommend

This is coming from someone who took the two hour paranormal investigation tour the night before taking this tour. This tour is not funny. They try to making the horrible things that happened in this jail and the paranormal activity in the old jail and make it funny with dumb puns. The jailer tried to make us go into places in the jail “promising” there isn’t anything in there while we previous used paranormal equipment the night before to speak with spirits. They spoke of real people that died there and mocked them while standing in the jail. I am very disappointed in the insensitivity of this tour. This is not okay. It had been on many Tv shows and in history that there are spirits in the jail and it is NOT funny!! I highly recommend being humbled by taking the actual investigation tour of this jail coming from someone who was completely unbelieving. This is a tourist attraction and it is completing inhumane.

Fun and “not so very scary” ghost tour of St. Augustine. Conducted partly on the ghost trolley and partly while walking through various attractions, the tour features actors and narrators who give you some unexpected scares along the way! Local ghost stories shared, along with some history. Our tour guides were friendly and knowledgeable, and the parts of the tour conducted at the Old Jail were truly pretty spooky. While we didn’t have kids with us, there were some kiddos in our tour group, and they all seemed to love it. A fun way to spend an hour and a half one evening in St. Augustine. Suggestion - pick a tour time when it is fully dark for maximum fright. We did the tour at 8:30, and it didn’t get fully dark til almost half-way through. That part was more fun, as everything is scarier in the dark!
