Highlights of Charleston Guided Walking Tour

Overview
Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and found it extremely informative. Not only was our guide knowledgeable, but he displayed a passion and enthusiasm for the subject matter that is rare these days.

This was my third Charleston tour over the years and definitely the most thought provoking. The other tours focused on churches, historical facts and buildings. Bill took us to several of the same sites... But was definitely more informative as to the true history of Charleston. The facts might not have been as sugar coated as other tour guides were, but I definitely have a truer understanding of life in Charleston back in the 1700's and 1800's. It was like being in a classroom in the good old days. Thought provoking and definitely interesting and entertaining. Definitely worth the time to go on this tour
