What To Expect

Bryce Canyon National Park

This is a group experience that offers at least 3 miles (up to 5 miles)* of hiking, from easy to moderate terrain, accompanied by must-see viewpoints through various sections of Bryce. After introductions, we'll board one of our vehicles and prepare for a unique and visually stunning experience that borders on magical. Our guides are locals, know every inch of the area, and are thrilled to share their knowledge and expertise with all those who venture to Bryce Canyon. So allow us to lead you through hoodoo-filled slot canyons and across pink crested amphitheaters, while learning about different layers of strata as we trek through over 50 million years of geologic wonder. Interact with and see trees in a whole new way, find out which Native Americans called this area their home, and discover other interesting things; like how Bryce Canyon gets its name, and what a "Hoodoo" really is. *Trails typically hiked are Mossy Cave, Queens Garden and Navajo Loop, conditions permitting.

Mabry, our guide, was incredible. He is so knowledgeable and passionate about Bryce Canyon. It was an awesome tour, strenuous hike, but beautiful.

The start of our day may have been chilly and cold, but none of that mattered once our boots were on the ground of the world's largest collection of hoodoos, and the horseshoe-shaped amphitheaters carved from the eastern edge of the Paunsaugunt Plateau. Mabry wasn’t just a guide, he was a professor defending his dissertation on Utah’s archaeology. His wide-range knowledge of the area was nothing short of awe-inspiring. While others stroll on by to take their next photo. Mabry took his time to educate us about his home. Nothing was unimportant, from the world's smallest Prairie Dogs with eyebrows to the county-only streetlights, multicultural juniper berries, and of course, the world's oldest Aspen Tree. All facts played a role in what makes up Bryce Canyon what it is. If anyone wants a teacher of nature instead of a note reader. Ask for the MaBry-ce Experience.

Our trip to Bryce was one day of a more than week long vacation. The day with Oscar (the cheerleader) was the best day of the trip. He was knowledgeable, entertaining, and took us to some awesome trails and views. Easily the best value of any paid tour on our trip. I highly recommend Bryce Canyon Scenic Tours.
