Overview

We make exploring the PNW easy! Emily, our primary guide, will take great care of you. She will keep you safe, teach you about the Cascade Mountain Range, and will cheer you on as you accomplish a great workout. Emily is trained in CPR and Wilderness First Aid, she has hiked all around the PNW and the world (Patagonia and Mount Kilimanjaro...), and she is passionate about conservation.

In addition to a great guide, you'll also get access to needed hiking gear! For the hike, you will get a backpack filled with the ten-essentials (key hiking safety items), comfort items, snacks, and water.

All transportation is included.

All you need to bring is your sense of adventure! A camera, sunglasses, and hiking boots are also strongly recommended.

Our guide is fully vaccinated. We will wear masks while in the car together. While on the trail, you can choose to wear your mask or not. We recommend wearing it anytime you are within six feet of another hiker. As we are outside, social distancing is fairly easy to maintain.

What To Expect

Cascade Range

We will hike in Cascades! This is hikers paradise with endless trails to roam, wildflowers to see and smell, and glacial-lakes to jump in (on a hot day). 5 hours is the estimated hiking time, but it could vary greatly depending on the route chosen (we select a route based on your interests and physical fitness level) and hiking speeds. Be prepared to be away for a substantial part of the day.

Mountain Loop Highway

This is a popular hiking area and is likely where we will go for our adventure. There are so many great trails to choose from, from very easy introductory hikes to extremely difficult expert-level hikes. We will learn about your interests, hiking level, and schedule to determine the best hike for you.

Granite Falls

This is a small town on the way to and from Mountain Loop Highway. We will likely just pass through, but if there are requests to stop for an ice cream or a hamburger, we are happy to oblige!

We had a fantastic day with Emily visiting the stunningly beautiful Lake Twenty Two. The weather was not on our side but I thoroughly enjoyed our hike up to this incredibly stunning lake. Emily added all those touches to our day trip - hot drinks in the car and a full packed lunch with snacks. She also helped us identify different plant and fungi species along our route which just made this even more enjoyable. Emily also helped me celebrate my friends birthday with a little cake to celebrate which really added the final touch to our amazing day out.

This was a perfect day hiking up to and around Lake 22. Emily did a smashing job as our tourguide. Knowledgable, pleasant, adjusting to our experience and wishes. Very good food and snacks. We experienced the first snow of the season.

Emily planned our hike perfectly to our level and to our requests. She took us on a beautiful trail through a forest, up on a rocky terrain and around a lake. We saw hugely tall, old trees. Emily was friendly and a wonderful guide. It was the highlight of our trip to Seattle.
