We enjoyed our sunset cruise. We were lucky and got to see lots of dolphins while we were out. The cruise is very leisurely. It was interesting seeing all the homes along the water and the 3 lighthouses. Our only complaint was getting whipped by the flag since we were in the last row.

We definitely went on a 90 minute cruise down Calibogue sound but we saw a whopping 2 dolphins. And the captain kept turning the boat to see them from the front but we were seated on the side. It was a nice boat ride but not the sightseeing we expected. Fully expected to hear about some of the islands history and about Dafauskie but were sadly disappointed.

This cruise was very informative with regard to the area around Calibogue Sound. We did get to see quite a few dolphins (are the same ones multiple times -I'm not sure). what we didn't see, was the sunset. Our captains was too busy chasing a couple of dolphins (which we had already seen) to be bothered with the sunset. By the time we ventured to an area to see any sunset, that was over. That part was a bit disappointing. We also gathered, for the narration, that the captain doesn't hold the residents of Dafauskie Island in very high regard.
