Skip that narration from our special educator guides and have a blast! 90 minutes (including training) exploring the entire and then look for an alligator (or 5) at the alligator lake. 70-acre nature preserve. This was the first time I, my wife, and our two kids went for segway ride. There was a quick training by a staff member. Then we were all ready to go. First, we took some short trails where we saw multiple older trees, which are more than 400 years old. Then we circled Jarvis Pond (Just saw 1 alligator instead of 7 which is the supposed number). After that we were back on the pedestrian pavements and went couple of miles and came back. The one unfortunate part was that we had to ask questions to get any answer from the guide. He said this is kind of a silent tour and focusses more on riding. I still asked couple of questions which he answered. This tour costs $95 per person and then on top of that there are 3rd party fees. Then finally state tax comes. Overall, it is expensive trip and hence needs to include more explanation of what we are seeing rather than just riding. Riding was fun though!!

This was our first Segway experience, and it was a lot of fun. Our guide, Elizabeth, was very knowledgeable and friendly. She did a great job with our intro training and making sure we were comfortable with riding. The tour was informative and entertaining for me and our kids. Would highly recommend for a fun family activity!

Glad to hear the entire family had a fun time on your recent tour! We all fortunate to have the best guides on the island and the most experienced as well. Hope to see you rolling with us again on your next visit to Hilton Head Island.
