Come join the crew aboard the Tammy Jane for a 2-hour educational and picturesque low-country experience as we take you out Shrimping! We invite you to learn about our healthy salt marsh environment, and introduce you to some of the sea creatures we'll safely pull up in our nets (in addition to shrimp!).

We will explore how various ecosystems intertwine to create the rich food web that provides food for our tables.

This is a unique opportunity for guests of all ages! If we do catch shrimp aboard an expedition the crew will package some up for guests to take home.

What To Expect

Vagabond Cruise

Aboard this two hour excursion you will explore how various ecosystems intertwine to create the rich food web that provides food for our tables.This is a unique opportunity for guests of all ages! If we do catch shrimp aboard an expedition the crew will package some up for guests to take home. All excursions depart from Harbour Town Yacht Basin within the Sea Pines Resort. There is a $9.00 per vehicle entry fee for the Sea Pines Resort that must be paid in cash. This gate pass is valid for the entire day, so make the most out of the Sea Pines Resort. Check-in for your Shrimp Trawl aboard the Tammy Jane will be at the Vagabond Cruise reservation office which is located just to the right of the Harbour Town Lighthouse. This was by far the best trip we’ve taken. Grew up on the Gulf Coast and never been shrimping before. Learned so much and got to keep some bounty for a delicious shrimp cocktail at home. Weather was cold but sunny and a beautiful day! Thanks so much for a great trip! Price is right too and just long enough at 2 hours .

My husband and I went on the Shrimp Trawler while visiting Hilton Head over Christmas. Captain Spike and Mate Kailey were very informative which made the expedition both educational and fun. We even rolled up our sleeves and helped to de-head the 25lbs of shrimp that were caught. At the end of the trip the shrimp were divided up to the passengers who were interested in taking some home. Can’t wait to serve them on New Year’s Eve!

This boat trip is a winner in so many ways. The docks at the base of the Lighthouse in Harbor Town could be its own day trip event. The boat was clean, the crew professional and and the time productive. We signed up to be on the water and to learn how the Shrimp boats work. We left with a nice bag of fresh shrimp. Deduct the price of shrimp from the price of the ticket and you can’t afford not to go. Perfect day for a family, educators or a local to take an out of town guest Thank you Spike, Collin and Katlyn. Stunning day.
